The first step toward becoming an international student is to receive an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution. The acceptance letter from the institution will then be used for applying for their student visa and study permit.
If your application is successful, you will receive a port of entry letter of introduction that would be presented to the Canadian border services upon arrival. A study permit is issued by the border services officer, with dates corresponding to your visa.
The conditions the prospective students need to adhere to will be outlined on the study permit.
